Who's behind this and why?
Founding Employee roles are hard to find and hire for. Early stage founders typically don’t have the money to advertise open positions, or to engage headhunters or recruiters. And companies are often still in stealth, which makes it hard for potential employees to discover these opportunities.
We feel strongly that solving this gap could help advance our ecosystem. So we created Shushu as a way for exceptional candidates and founders to find each other, while maintaining openness, discretion, and trust.
Shushu is an open platform for all candidates and founders in the Israeli ecosystem.
How do you define a Founding Employee?
By 'Founding Employee', we mean early team members who join before or around product-market fit, typically with meaningful ownership, breadth of responsibility, and influence on company direction.
Specifically, this platform focuses on access to these opportunities:
- First 10 non-founder employees in any role
- First Product, Design, GTM, CS, or ops hires (even at 10+ employees)
- At pre Series-A companies in the Israeli ecosystem
I signed up to find founding employee roles, now what?
From there, it’s a double opt-in: If you see a role you like, you can let us know and we’ll send your details to the founders. If they also think you’re a good fit, they will get in touch with you directly.
I listed a position, what happens next?
From there, it’s a double opt-in: Once someone is interested in the role, they will let us know, and we’ll send you their details. If the interest is mutual, you can contact them directly.
What about discretion?
We've built Shushu around discretion:
- We operate strictly on a double opt-in basis. Founders only see talent that expressed interest, and talent only see relevant roles.
- You can share as much or as little as you're comfortable with.
- We will never share any data you give us with anyone without your express permission to do so.
